Lint build up causes lots of problems with Dryers. Will Cause poor drying, taking a very long time to dry clothes.
Check your vent exhaust hose and clean it out , as well at the outside Dryer vent. This will save you many heartaches, and costly repairs. 
Also vacuum or brush out where the dryer filter goes in.
