I have a Kenmore refrigerator with this filter, and it’s been over 12 months since I purchased it. The filter’s never been replaced.
I went to remove the filter by pushing the button to the right of the filter, but the filter won’t budge and the button is pushed all the way in.
Is there something else I need to do?
    Thanks,
    S

You have to press it in real hard, if it still does not release, you will need a new filter housing assembly.
