Maytag Dryer Heating Element
ByMaytag dryer(Model#LDE312 series 02): Not heating properly. I found the element had broken and it was touching the heater housing, which is a grounded element. This caused the heater to be on all of the time, and not letting the timer advance in the auto dry cycles. This problem also made it so just 120 volts was passing through the element causing the low heat condition.
I installed a new heating element, worked great.
