KitchenAid Washer(KAWS777EQ0): Not spinning and making a grinding noise when the motor is turning. Found the motor coupling broken. Installed new one, worked great!
Here’s a thread from one of our members in our appliance repair forums that explain how to access the motor coupling and change it:
Here’s the motor coupling for this model – Part#285753A
Manufacturer’s Number: 285753A
Maytag side by side refrigerator(model#MSD2456DEW): Not cooling properly. I took all the food out of the freezer, then took off the panel back inside the freezer and found the evaporator coils all frosted up heavily. I ohmed out the defrost heater and defrost thermostat(while frosty) for continuity, both checked out good. So with both parts testing good, then the only part left is the defrost board. I changed it, worked great.
Its very important not to start defrosting the evaporator coil till you finish ohming out the defrost thermostat part for continuity.
Here’s the defrost board for this model – Part#61005988
Manufacturer’s Number: 61005988
