When I go out on service calls for preventive maintance checks on washers and I noticed the rubber fills hoses that connect to the washer would get bubbles in them, some small, some large. After time those will burst and start flooding your laundry area and if your laundry room is in your house that can be quite the mess and cause massive floor damage to say the least.
So I recommend you check your washing machine fill hoses every year, and replace them if you notice bubbles. Stainless steel fill hoses are the best to get as they won’t get those bubbles in them.
Dryer venting restrictions and clogs are very problematic for proper dryer performance. If you notice your dryer taking longer than normal or if you have to run two or more drying cycles just to get your clothes dry, I advice people to check their dryer vents first before anything else.
If you find your dryer exhaust flexible hose/ducting is torn or kinked, its best to replace it.
