2004 Brand New Fisher and Paykel Washer

Good Evening to everyone,

Fisher Paykel Washer

After 17 years of appliance repair, i have never repaired a Fisher and Paykel Washer Model#GWL-11. Today was the first one.
My first call today was this brand, The complaint was: The start button wouldnt make the washer start, I found the touch pad start button stuck on the keypad assembly, i reset it, it started working great!

I'm curious -- does that mean these are very reliable appliances, or are they just a rare brand?

Well, Its more rare to work on because its not a "per say major appliance brand" thats marketed in all stores that sell major appliances. I have not recieved any training on this brand , when i go on a service call to fix one, i always have to call the factory to find out whats going with it if its more complicated than just fixing a loose wire or button.

I just purchased the Fisher Paykel Ecosmart GWL11 and DG08 Drier(not delivered yet) and I am a bit concerned about reliability and repair history (I'm in So Cal), as well as availability of people who know how to repair them. Any immediate feedback would be very helpful.
