Kenmore Amana Defrost Thermostat
2000 Sears Kenmore Side by Side Refrigerator made by Amana(model#59650699000): Not cooling at times, I found the Defrost Thermostat malfunctioning, Part#12017823.
This also controls the Evaporator fan motor,when the temperature drops on the evaporator coil, the defrost thermostat turns on the evaporator fan motor. So if you ever have warm temperatures in the Refrigerator section, make sure the Freezer(Evaporator) Fan Motor is running good.
Defrost thermostat with wire harness, clip-on, L48-33 degrees
(The manufacturer has replaced part number 12017823 with this item, part number R0161088.)
