Range Bake Element

Sears Kenmore Electric Range made by Whirlpool (model#665.95002101): Oven is not heating when the bake cycle is on, I always make sure the range is receiving 240 volts at the range terminal block, a volt/ohm meter is a necessity. If that checks ok, then I check the the bake element for continuity with the ohm meter, make sure the power to the range is off first before testing the bake element for continuity.
There was no continuity in the bake element, when i checked it.
