This is a non-self-tapping, which means its very well made and no chance of a clog as with the self-tapping ones.

Icemaker Installation Kit, Copper - 25-foot copper tubing (1/4-inch) and non-self-tapping saddle valve with compression fitting. Fits most brands of icemakers.
