GE Range Broil Igniter Glow Bar

GE Range (Model#JGBP90MEB3BC): The broil igniter glow bar wasn't working at all, not even turning orange/red. I checked voltage at the broil igniter glow bar and it was getting 120 volts. So that meant that the broil igniter glow bar was bad. I Installed a new one, worked great!

Amana Gas Range - Oven not working

Amana Gas Range(Model#AGS751W - P1142634NW): When you turn the oven thermostat on, the oven igniter glow bar glows orange, but it won't allow the gas to come out to ignite it, the oven igniter glow bar is bad.

GE Range Top Element 8"

GE Range(model#JSP26G0N2WH): Right-Front top surface element burner(8") not working.

I put my volt meter in the element terminal block and got a reading of 240 volts. That indicates its getting the proper voltage, but won't turn on, because the element is bad.

Here's the 8" Right-Front Top burner element for this model:

GE Wall Oven beeping error code F1

GE Wall Oven (Model#JKP15B0W2BB): After power has been on about 1 hr. the control panel starts beeping and the error code F1 comes up, even when the oven is not in use. The problem is in the control touch panel. I installed a new one, worked great.

GE Electric Range

Good morning,

The last few days its been pouring rain outside, and more to come.

Yesterday I changed out a Glasstop on a GE Range(Model#JBP68H0H2WW) The customer had cracked it by accident. Actually, changing the GE ones are alot easier than some other brands. I have to give GE a thumbs up for this range, Lots of GE Appliances are extremely difficult to service, but they did a good when they made this model.
The part# for this Glasstop is WB62T10268

Now I was going to get this Glasstop from the local parts dealer I use in my area, WL May, but when the said it would take 2-3 weeks I was shocked, By that time it would be Thanksgiving Day before it would here. The customer wanted it ASAP, so I decided to get it from the RepairClinic.com, which is our main parts supplier on our ApplianceBlog.com website here. We ordered it on Wednesday, the customer got it on Thursday, and I went out to install it Yesterday!

Glow Bar Igniter

2000 Sears Kenmore Range made by G.E. (Model#362.75205891): Oven won't work, the glow bar wouldn't glow orange at all to let the oven valve start releasing the gas flow into the burner. I found the oven igniter glow bar was out, tested it with my ohm meter, found no continuity through it. Also I check to make sure the glow bar igniter was getting 120 volts, and it was. I installed a new glow bar igniter.

Electonic Control Board

KitchenAid Slide-In Range (model#KESC307GBS1): Yesterday the electronic control clock assembly was not working properly, the relay on the control board that makes the bake element come on was faulty, no power was going to the bake element, and it should of had 240 volts to it.

Frigidaire Gas Range Oven Ignitors

Most Frigidaire and Sears Kenmore made by Frigidaire Gas Ranges use glow bar style Ignitors as seen below.
If the Glow bar ignitor glows but the oven gas does not come out to lite the flame, its a good chance the Glow bar Ignitor is bad.
The Glow bar Ignitor sends a small amount of resistence to the safty valve, so the gas comes on. If the glow bar does not send enough resistence but still glows, the safty valve will not open even though the glow bar is glowing. Confused Yet. LOL :) Just kidding! Sounds complicated but really not.

Gas and Electric

Hi all,
Some people like Gas Ranges others Electric. I have owned both, and i enjoy both types. I dont have a favorite.

I do get alot of customers that have questions about the Broiling system.

Since the Broil has to stay on all the time when you Broil, the oven door should remain ajar, so the heat can escape, and keeps the thermostat from turning the broiler off.
