Default Amana washer makes buzzing sound during spin cycle

I was wondering if anyone knows what may be causing the buzzing sound that occurs during the spin cycle.

I have a newer amana top loading washer, model #alw432raw.

Any help would be greatly appreciated.

Thanks

Hi,

Could be the motor, water pump, idler pulley, transmission, bearing.

It sounds like a electrical buzz?

You could take the belt off and then put it in spin, the motor and pump should be turning only, if the buzz is gone with the belt off, then its either the transmission/brake assembly, or tub bearing.

If the buzz is still there with the belt off, then its the motor or water pump.
