Default Fridge Freezing

Hello, I have an Amana BX21VE. The food in the fridge portion is freezing. We have dialed back the temperature on the fridge to as warm as it goes to no avail. We can take the milk out, let it thaw then put it back in and it will re-freeze.

Any help would be greatly appreciated.

We also had problems with the fridge not getting any cold air, this was resolved by replacing some part that defrosted the cooling fins in the freezer. Too-cold too-hot, this fridge has been a real pain in my butt. Should I just get rid of it? We got it last August.

Thanks

Hi,

It sounds like your temp. control thermostat is bad, does your refrigerator seem to run all the time? Is your freezer section extremely cold?

yes it seems to be running all the time and I think the freezer seems extra cold.

I will try the thermostat, do you have a link to a part number that I can order?

Thanks for the help.
