I need your help techs. I have an Amana ASD2627K and the model tag has been removed. The jazz board was replaced and the program code was on the model tag along with the serial number. Without the code, no defrost. Any Idea how I can find out what code to use. I think it's a 2006 model and I tried 06 for the code but no luck. I also tried 09 and 19 still nothing.

Good questions,

I searched the tech sheet and the service manuals as I would guess you already did and found nothing.

I have some of the old tech sheets that come with the new boards on my work bench and may have some of the codes wrote down on one of them.

I will try and remember to take a look in the morning.

Another thought, I should also be able to take a look at some new ones on the floor and see what the code is on the tag.

Some how I should be able to come up with a code.

All I have to do is remember to do it, lol..

I was told by another maytag technician that

This is what I found so far this morning.

Model # Code.

ABB2227DES 02
ABB1922FEW 21
ABB2227DEW 02

Sould be able to find a couple more today.

Another fine idea by Maytag.

Bingo!! 07 was the code. Had defrost this morning when I checked the temperature logger. Thanks again for your help AJ. I owe you.
