The freezer works, but every few weeks now we have to break out the hair dryer and defrost the freezer, because it starts to warm up. I thought the coils were just dirty, but there was hardly anything on them. What could be the problem?

Sounds like a part in the auto-defrost system is bad.
There should be 2 more letters after the "7" at the end of your model#. The model# tag is located inside the refrigerator section on the upper walls or ceiling. Jake

Unfortunately the tag is torn where the model number should be. Are the any other ways to identify which one it is?

Yes, usually the parts themselves have part#'s on them.
The part I change the most for this issue on this model is the defrost thermostat. I usually test it for continuity while its frosty with an ohm meter. If you don't have an volt/ohm meter, you can get a cheap one at Radio Shack. It clips on the top right side of your evaporator coil, its #23 here: http://content.searspartsdirect.com/lis_png/PLDM/P0070077-00003.png Here's the one for your model you can order: Part#10442411 Defrost thermostat ![]() Jake
