My wife and I recently bought a house, and I was given an Amana BRF20TW Bottom Freezer Unit. It wasn't new, but it looked to be in good shape. After we cleaned it up, i plugged it in. Well it wont get cold, neither the freezer nor the fridge gets cold. Nothing colder than 55 degrees. I can hear the fans coming on and running constantly. We left it plugged in and closed overnite, and still nothing cold. I have the knobs set at max. Any ideas? Thermostat? Freon charged? Where do i begin? Thanks again

Hi Brian,
Sounds like you have a compressor/sealed system issue, would cost lots of money to fix. How old is it? If you don't know you can post the serial# and I can tell you. Jake

the serial number is 9607155896. Yeah i was kinda afraid thats what i was gonna hear about it. Luckily we have 2 other fridges (one really old that i was hoping to replace with this one). I can feel semi cold air coming out, does that make a difference?
