Default Amana Dryier LE8317w2 Bad noise and humidity probs

Dryier is about 8 years old and we have had no prblems with it until about 3 minths ago....

I am sure the humidity senser is out of it because when you set the timer to "more dry" the dryier will jsut stay runing, but the timer will count down and stop if I use the timed settings....Is this more a function of the senser or the timer?

Second, for about the last 3-4 months it has been sqeaking also, but this past weekend it got really loud...I thought first of the belt or maybe a tensioner, but I am not even sure on how to open the darn thing up...I too dropped the dryier on its front to find an access panel and I could not...I did read that it should open from the front, but any help would be great....

Please help me open it and list what parts you think would be a good idea to start with at replacing from my story...

Thanks again so much,

Richard

First check the dryer for proper air flow, move the dryer away from the wall and test the auto-dry cycle by running it in auto-dry with some damp clothes.

If it docent move then its possible the thermostat/sensor or timer is giving you the problem.

It opens from the front, you will see the lower access panel with 2 5/16" screws at the very bottom.
