Amana ALE643RBW Dryer Will not dry clothes
Brand:
Amana
Age:
6-10 years
The heating element comes on for about 30 seconds then goes off ,after about a minute and a half it comes back on for about 3 seconds and goes off. After that it stays off for a long time then comes on for a second or two and goes off.
Any ideas? Thanks Dale

Nevermind, I see it now.
Pull the dryer out from the wall and take the vent hose off then run it without clothes and see if the element cycles normal.

I took the vent hose off the element came on for 30 seconds was off for a minute 45 seconds came on for 3 seconds
was off for two minutes and a half on 3 seconds and off. The inside in slightly warm not hot,and it's been running 15 minutes. I checked the element reading of 10.0 High limit thermostat read 0.1 to 0.3 thermal fuse read 0.1 to 0.5
Thanks Dale Ok I was checking things out and found a loose terminal on a wire from the element to the high limit
thermostat, I put a new wire and terminals on and it works fine.
Thank you for time Dale
