Post Amana Washer - Spin Cycle does not pump out water

I have an Amana Washer. During the spin cycle, the water stays in the tub. The wife needs to reactivate the spin cycle and then the water pumps out.

Any ideas. I am suspecting the cycle switch?!?!

Do you notice in the last spin cycle it doesn't start on its own? or it starts but no water drains and the tub doesn't spin?

Whats the model#?

Jake

Default Amana Spin Cycle not Draining

The model number is LW8203W2 or PLW8203W2B
33541R2

I took the top off of the washer and removed the large black connector. I checked for broken connectors, dirty connectors, pushed back pins, loose connections, loose grounds, etc. I then sprayed the connector with electrical contact cleaner and let it dry for 10 minutes. I made sure that there was not any cleaning fluid present.

I reassembled the electricals and now I am running a shorter cycle to see if I have an issue.

Not being sure how the drain works on a washer, I am assuming the reverse motor operation, I do not think that it is a seal or the motor. I am more inclined to think that it is the timer switch.

Any ideas???

Mark

It does sound like a timer issue.

Here is another link that may help:
