Default Display Working\Not Working

I have an Amana Self Cleaning oven with a glasstop stove top. I am not sure what model, or how to find what model it is, although I do not believe it is more than 3 to 4 years old. All of a sudden the stove top will not come on and the display is black, as if unplugged. If you try to turn on the oven it seems to come on, and the display comes on??? I have read on this forum a bit about codes, is there a sequence that must be done in order to see the codes? Any help would be appreciated.

John

Hi,

Here is a link to help you find your model#:

It sounds like your not getting the full 240 volts to your range. Like its only getting 120 volts.
I would first check your breaker to the range.

Jake
