Default Amana 90 series gas igniter won't glow at all.

Just replaced the igniter still nothing. Timer seems to be working fine getting power from it. Any suggestions would be great. Thanks in advance.

Check your valve too. Two terminals on valve that igniter wires plug into. Place a meter on ohms and you should read continuity there. If you have open circuit, your valve's bad.

I just got a 57.9 ohm reading on the valve. Would it be the selinoids? I'm just stumped to as why I'm getting nothing at the igniter.

unplug the wires from the valve first before u check ohms...only test across the bare terminals. Also, check the clock if this unit has one to make sure you're in manual bake.

by the way, 57.9 ohms sounds like a new igniter reading to me....Please remove wires on any ohm check you ever do if you're testing across terminals.

Oh no....I thought this was a range....lol

Check the sensor mounted on the side of the flame chute. You may also have a bad thermal fuse/stat. Both should read continuity. If your ignitor doesn't glow at all it's not the coils. If it glows and then goes out, it's your coils.

Sorry for confusion bro, don't know why I thought it was a range you were talking about.

Check the white diamond shaped thermal fuse with red wires for continuity...should read closed circuit

check the sensor (blue and white wires) closed

Check the hi limit stat on top of flame chute (blue and red wires) closed

One of those most likely! Hope I helped
