Default Water Dispenser drips about 1 table spoon

I have an Amana side by side with ice/water dispenser. Recently, the water dispenser started dripping slightly after the dispenser is used. It lightly drips for 5~10 seconds ~ 1 tablespoon of water.

I am not sure exactly what model I have, but the in door sticker lists 3 different models (SBI20 / SPBD20 / SBDE20).

What do I need to do?

thanks,

the dripper!

The complete model# would be either on your inside refrigerator ceiling or on the top right side interior wall of your refrigerator section.

Did you recently change the water filter, or was the water shut off to your neighborhood for awhile recently?

If not, then its likely a water inlet valve problem.

Jake,

Thanks for the reply. The model #is SBD20S4W. We have not shut off the water or changed the water filter (ever ).

What parts would I need to replace the water filter and the valve? Also, is their any documentation on how to do these two tasks?

thanks,

mv

Looks like your model doesn't have a water filter.

Sounds like you will need a new water inlet valve:
water inlet valve

Its fairly easy to replace, pull out your refrigerator, then its the part that your water supply line hooks-up to.
