Default amana s+s ice chute frosting up

i have amana model ars2664ac side by side
i had to replace the defrost switch in the rear of the freezer a few months ago because the feezer stopped working
ever since then the ice chute has been fosting up
the door on the freezer and the small door on the ice chute both apea to be closing tight
what is the next thing to look for
or should i replace the small door on the chute and seee what happens

Hi,

Yes, thats kinda odd that the ice door chute would start frosting up after you changed your defrost thermostat.

I remember though I have replaced alot of these ice door's in the past due to frost up issues. I believe a new one will fix yours, they have upgraded them.

Its fairly easy, just remove the front dispenser frame assembly, then you can get to it easy.

There should be a screw at the bottom of the frame, if not then it just unsnaps.

got the new door for the ice chute
was putting it in last night and laid a small glass piece
i think its called a airpod?? on the counter
well the cat knocked it off and.........broke it
so now i need that too
any help on this one jake?
but on a good note the door asm fixed the frosting up concern
