I Have an Amana electric dryer that work fine for about 10 min then starts getting louder and will shut off. when I push in the button to restart it buzzes and the lights in the room dim. Has the motor gone badand sucking to much current?

It definitely sounds to me like the motor may be the problem. If it is seizing up as it gets warm with use, it likely needs to be replaced.

It looks to be a fairly expensive one. Is that a 50 HZ machine? :?

Typically, Amana parts are a little on the expensive side. That price doesn't surprise me.
