amana ale956eaw dryer no heat
hi, i have an amana dryer that will run but doesn't heat. the voltage is 240 and the element and thermostat and the fuse check fine. there is a "thermistor" on the blower housing. could this cause a dryer to not heat? thanks for any help.

Hi,
You need to unplug your dryer and ohm test all thermostats, thermal fuse, and element if you haven't already done so as described here:

amana dryer
hey..thanks for the reply..yep..the element and the hi limit and the thermal cutout located on the heater all ohm out correctly. this dryer also has an electronic control and a thermistor. there's a huge difference in the cost of the two parts but i'm thinking it's got to be one of them. have you ever heard of a thermistor causing a no heat condition? thanks very much.

No, its likely your control board is bad.
