LE8317W2 Dryer suddenly quit heating
Monday, the dryer was heating just fine. On Tuesday, it quit blowing hot air.
I don't have a voltmeter, but I bypassed the thermal fuse and then the thermostat... in both cases, nothing changed. Also removed the vent hose, and it was blowing freely. Still no heat whatsoever.
Given the suddenness, it sounds like the heating element went out, no? Should I just replace that?
Also, the dryer has a terrible squeal now.... recommendations on what to lubricate the rollers with?
Thanks!

Without a volt/ohm meter, it would be hard to say what could be causing the no heat, but yes its likely the heating element if you jumped the thermostats already. But also I have seen where it could be a breaker issue in your home breaker box that controls power to the dryer, make sure thats not tripped on one side.
Here is the parts diagram for your model:
LE8317W2
The heater is located in diagram#7 part location#7.
