Jenn Air Downdraft Cooktop Replacement
Moved into 20 year old house with original Jenn Air downdraft cooktop. It is 47" across and from left to right has a smooth surface cooking element, the exhaust fan and controls, the grill, more controls with a small cutting board, and the second smooth surface cooking element. While it still works it looks terrible and I'm looking to replace it. I looked underneath to get the model number and when I called Jenn Air, they said it wasn't a valid number! Does anyone have an idea of an acceptable replacement without major modification to the kitchen cabinets. Jenn Air sells a 45" cooktop but I'm concerned it won't fit - by the way, Jenn Air has been next to useless.

Hi,
I myself don't know of a good replacement, but hopefully someone that has had on of these before can post what they replaced theirs with.
