Question Old Electric Griddle

I have an old electric griddle (brand unknown) that's about as big as two slices of bread. It needs new wire and I can't find any to match. Any leads? The wire is 2 conductor covered with a woven green material with a white spiral thread in it. Appreciate any help on a source for this stuff. I can send pictures and for a pretty sure thing a sample of the wire.

This sounds very like "anti-kink" mains wire, used to be common on irons and toasters. As to where you'll get some these days.....that's another story. I'll check out some links later today for antique appliance restorers, they may be able to help.

Thank you. The specs on a label on the bottom of the griddle say 115V and 600 Watt. So, what guage does that mean I need?
