Model: GLDB653AB2
High-temp rinse, wash, and dry all selected.
The thermal fuse is fine.
Heating element is fine.
Timer stalls @ 4, and 8 o'clock positions.
4 hour dishwasher cycle!
Customer IS running hot water at the sink before startup.
Water is hot! Don't know how hot, but I can't keep my hand under it.
Connections are tight.

Hi Ace,
The timer is designed to pause when its heating the water if the water heating options are selected.
Try running the dishwasher without those heating options selected and see if it still stalls, if so, then its likely the timer.

My experience with the the Frigidaire d/w has been mostly a failed limiter thermostat(with the symptoms described).
The thermostat part number is 154290204.
On one occassion I had a timer plug that was not fully seated into the timer itself(doesn't hurt to check it).
Good luck, John

I replaced the temp-boost, and the temp assure......
I ran the dishwasher, @ 9:45, come back @ 11:30..... timer was on the last click b4 going into dry. I waited.... waited..... Didn't go into dry.
So I wiggled the timer connection... made no difference. Shut the door, and the wash motor wouldn't work.... I took the harness off the motor and measured 120v! I plugged it back in, still nothing. after repeatedly closing the door, and advancing the timer it finally came out of it. I take it the overload on the motor had opened temporarily.
Anyways.... back to the timer. I looked at the timer motor connections with frustration. "I can't measure the voltage.... The connections are to dangerously close the motor itself.
I restarted the short cycle @ 11:42, and will check back in about 90 minutes to see where its at.
I refuse to suspect the timer, because I had just replaced that not to long ago.
The customer told me it ran all night! (She never tells me where it stalled! Grrrrr!)

That's very odd, Wish i could suggest more, but it seems like you have made the proper tests and already changed the timer.

What's the weather like in Montana?
During the winter in my neck of the woods--if a dishwasher is installed under the counter that is against the wall of the house and is *cold* from wind or lacking adequate insulation--this can prevent the temperature in the dishwasher from getting to the required level to function properly. The customer will complain about very long run cycles in excess of three hours.
I found that by adding an insulation panel against the wall of the house(behind the d/w)solves the problem of water never reaching the boost-temperatures. The timer will begin advancing at normal increments.
Insulated panels are available at Lowes/Home Depot.

Well, Like we discussed earlier, their is still no kickplate. I'm going to add thermomastic to the thermostats, and find out what she did with the kickplate.
