Ok, When your on a fringe signal area, and you get a signal sometimes but not all the time, is that good service? I think NOT!!!

I canceled thier service in mid-contact claiming my service is not working, they offered to send a tech. out verify, I said fine, come on out. I asked if they needed to have the tech. come out to cancel and not pay the $180.00 cancellation fee, they said no, just return the modem.

2 weeks later they charge my credit card for $180.00

I put a dispute in with my credit union, and they reversed the $180.00 charge.

Now Clearwire keeps calling to say I still owe the $180.00 and I haven't even received the final dispute outcome letter that I usually get from my credit union when I file disputes.

I've claimed lots of disputes over the past 20 years and never had a company do this before, and my credit union says they've never heard of that happening either, and they will back me up if the dispute outcome is in my favor.

Anyone else had this happen to them from Clearwire?

I've already received 3 calls from them since the charge was reversed.

Wow I'm glad I didn't end up going with clearwire. Yes companies don't like it when you dispute a credit card charge, as the company generally gets charged at least $25 by the credit card provider on top of any other action that gets taken.

At my house I cannot get DSL or cable modem. I had wildblue satellite for a while but doesn't always work too well. The solution I am using is Sprint cellular based wireless internet. It's great because I can use it on any computer.

Yea, I finely got Clearwire to settle when I reported the problem to our local Clearwire office here in Eugene, Oregon. So my dispute for $180 stands.:)

So if anyone else is in bad reception area, never call the 800 number to Clearwire, always call OR go to your local Clearwire office and report it to them.:)

From what I've heard about clearwire, They are very hard to break service with (like YOU'RE breaking it... most the time you wont get signal, And When you do it's painfully slow)
