Hey Jake..I know you live in Oregon..Do any fishing?? My mom used to have a place in Grants Pass for about ten years..I would go up there in the spring and the fall and fish the Rogue river for salmon and steelhead..Sometimes to the Umpqua for small mouth...Jim.http://www.applianceblog.com/mainforums/images/icons/icon10.gif

Hi Jim,
We do have good fishing, but I don't fish much here. Wish I did more, I used to go fishing alot in South Texas in the 90's.
They do have good fishing on the Rogue and Umpqua Rivers from what I hear.:)

One of my favorite fishing vacations was the Rogue. I wouldn't mind doing it again. When I got into fly fishing a couple decades ago, I jumped in feet first. I'm pretty sure I've fished every Blue Ribbon river and stream this side of the Mississippi, south of Canada, and north of Mexico. I rated the Rogue in my top ten. Wish I had more time to do it again.

Hey REDBEARD...I just noticed your from Salt Lake City.....My wife and I are planning a trip to Sandy,Utah in July to watch a volleyball tournament. We figured as long as we were up in that area we would see Yellowstone and Grand Tetons...I may be asking you a few questions about the area...Jim.

Hi Jim,
You asked the right guy. I have family in both Places. My sister and brother in law live in West Yellowstone and my sister is on the town council. They also have a business called Yellowstone Map Company. If you need any maps for the area try: yellowstonemapco@aol.com. My mother and numerous other relatives live in Teton County and the Jackson Hole area. I have all kinds of maps and guides for that whole area if you'd like them. If you're planning to do any fishing let me know. I can help you avoid the crowded places and send you right to the hot spots. A lot of my friends let me know before they head to Yellowstone Park so I can give sis a call and find out where the latest bear and wolf sightings have been. We went up on Thanksgiving and saw 4 grizzly bear, a sow and 2 cubs inside the park and a big male just outside of West Yellowstone by the Madison river. Late in the year to see bears. I was surprised. If you have time stop by the store, Budget Appliance and see how we do it here. Although I'm sure it's the same and you might be tired of appliances hence the vacation. I live less than a mile from Sandy and have relatives there too. Have you ever been to Yellowstone Park before?

Wow...I hit the jackpot!!!! Thnx for all the info...No I have never been to Yellowstone..Yes I will be taking fishing tackle..I will try to stop by and say hi...I think we are staying a few miles south of Sandy at a Comfort Inn...I'll get your address b4 we go...We will be in Sandy for the volley ball tourney from the last of June through the 4th or 5th of July and then we head to the west gate of Yellowstone to spend the night..Next day we go into Yellowstone and down to Jackson Hole to spend the night..From there were not sure...We will wonder back toward Salt Lake..Not sure how many days but we have a second home in Vegas we will wind up there and then back to So. Cal...Should be fun...I probably will be interested in a guide unless you can let me in on some not to crowded fishing holes..I"m sure there will be a lot of people at that time of the year...........Jim.
