New to the site, hope to solve a oven problem... Top burnres all light, broiler feature works. The problem lies with the oven heating up to temp. Have observed te igniter for the oven glowing, and burner lighting (seems to be quite a delay for the burner to light, close to 2 min.) After the burner is lit for the oven..very slow to come up to temp. I have removed the gas pressure regulator/thermal valve. Nothing obvious there.

Seeing that the stove top burners, broiler and oven burner go through this one common regulator/thermal valve has me doubting this is defective..any help would be appreciated. I do no have the model # with me now.if that would be of any help..

Thanks in advance

Hi,

Have observed te igniter for the oven glowing, and burner lighting (seems to be quite a delay for the burner to light, close to 2 min.)

Slow to light, poor heating, delayed ignition, quits part way through cooking, gas odour are some common troubles with a weak oven ignitor.

Yes, your glow bar igniter can glow red and still be bad!
