We've bought this recently and have since had a problem with the leak. It drips pretty consistently from the water filter. We've been keeping a cup under it to catch the leaking water. I have noticed that it tends to leak more when we've gotten a lot of ice from the ice maker. What could be causing this?

Hi,
That model# is not coming up as good, please check it again.
Is it an internal water filter mounted on the top ceiling in the refrigerator section, to the right of the temp. controls?
If so, I have seen a few of these leak from the mount assembly o-rings, you would need a new mount assembly.

Hi Jake.
Thank you for your response.
Yes, :o it is an internal water filter mounted on the top ceiling in the refrigerator section, to the right of the temp. controls.
Here is the model # again FRS26LF8CSN.
Would I be able to install the new mount assembly myself??? And how much $$$ are we talking? Thank you for your help.

Ok, that model# came up good, the water filter base mount is abit costly, its probably something you can do yourself, you will need a couple tools, but its all done from inside the top part of the refrigerator section.
Here is the part:

I just purchased the same refridgerator at Lowes (I believe it's a Lowes-only fridge) on clearance for $675. Please tell me I didn't make a mistake -- I'm hoping the problems you're having aren't widespread. The one I bought was a return, and the note that was attached said that it wouldn't cool. The salesman pointed out that it had been repaired, and that the manufacturer's full warranty was still intact. I haven't been able to find any reviews or info on this particular model, other than your post. Any insight would be greatly appreciated.
Thanks.
