soap dispenser does not open on Frigidaire dishwasher

The soap dispenser does not open during the wash cycle on my dishwasher. Is there a way to add the soap manually?

Sure....open door during the cycle and dump in the soap....close door and allow the cycle to resume.

Make sure there are no tall dishes or pan covers in the way. Took a while but we figured that one out.....
