Ikeephavingto replace the thermal fues on my dishwasher. The first one lasted a few months and the last two have lasted a few weeks. I am wondering if it's a bad part or if there is some other problem causing the failure of the thermal fuse. The model # DU960PWKQ1 if that helps any.
Thanks

Hi,
The new thermal fuses come in a kit with a plastic shield, is the shield installed with the thermal fuse?
The only other thing would be that your dishwasher is getting too hot, make sure you don't select the water heating option, and your hot water heater in your home is 130 degress or less.

The replacement part package reads part#675813 (http://click.linksynergy.com/fs-bin/click?id=YO6223WzStY&offerid=142421.645614131&type=10&subid=) fuse DW it incles a couple of wires and a fuse that plugs into the control board. However there was no plastic sheild in the kit. The hotwater heater is set on energy setting. I usually use the heavy wash cycle but I don't ever use the hi-temp scour. When the fuse goes out I have noticed water sitting in the bottom of the dishwasher after it has cycled or so I assumed it has finished cycling. I see the steam from the drying vent. What are the possibilities of the part being bad?

Ok, your model does not show it coming with a shield.
There must be more of a problem either in the control board or control panel, causing this to happen.
You may need to call a appliance tech. to domore in-depth trouble-shooting.
