Hi,
I have a GE washer, model number WJSR2080T6WW, with a sporadic problem. My washer tub will sometimes spin fairly slowly while the agitator is turning during a wash cycle (sort of like a slow spin cycle during the wash). The water level does not change, however when the washer is full, water will slosh out during this time. Other times (actually most of the time), it operates normally with no problems. Does this sound to you like it's a brake/transmission problem given the sporadic nature of it happening? It's almost like it's getting its cycles partially mixed up. Any help you can give would be appreciated. Thanks in advance,
Jim

Thanks - I had a suspicion it might be the transmission. I really appreciate the help!

OK, new transmission/brake assembly purchased. Halfway through disassembly and I cannot get the air bell coupling free from the transmission spline shaft. Any hints?
Thanks!

Those can be hard to get off, try tapping it up with something, it will finely come off.:)
