Hi all, been a few months since I needed your help. lol

So the wife pointed out to me that the clock on our Jenn-Air oven works, but the LED display for the temp is out. I do notice that the clock is pretty dim, but is still there. Anyone seen this before? Could it be that one of LED drivers on that pcb died?

The dog gone oven is only 6 years old. This is the second Maytag product I will have to work on in my house in the last year. What happened to those appliances that last forever and never need Service (hense the commercial with the Maytag repair man being so sleeply back at the shop)?

OK, on order!

Is it pretty easy to swap out?

Swapped out the clock module this weekend. Fastest, easiest swap out I have had working on stuff. I can see why you definitely want the power off when moving that panel out. :)

Anyways, thanks for the help!

My readout dims to nothing thn regains some light again over a period of hours. Was this your problem and did swapping out the whole electronic timer correct the problem? Please let me know. Thank you. Dick

Yes, this was very similiar to what I saw. Just replace the clock pcb and you will be back to normal. $140 and about 15 minutes of your time. Just make sure you unplug the stove first and you will be alright.

Good luck!

I followed the suggestion of Jeff and Cativo and installed a new timer, purchased from PartSelect.com for $150.00, AFTER shutting down the power at the fuse panel. It took 10 minutes to swap it out. Works perfectly now. Thank you Appliance Blog. No one in West Michigan would even come to look at the problem before December. You saved our Thanksgiving meal.

Glad you got it fixed, but if you order parts from Jeff's link or my links, you help support our time and server costs, and helps keep this forum running.:) Plus you get a full 30 day return policy on any part including electrical parts, that no other parts supplier can even come close to matching.:)
