Sorry I haven't checked the model number yet. I have a Maytag electric free standing range. Believe it's 30 inch, about 8 years old, with an electronic control. My problem is with the oven and is very similar to the one listed in the attached thread.
When I measure the internal temperature using a cheap grocery store analog thermometer, I read about 120 degrees lower that the selected/displayed temperature on the digital display.
Question(s) is:
Is the troubleshooting the same as the one in the attached thread?
First measure the probe?
After that it's the circuit board?
Anything else to check depending on the model? (I know I should have looked for it last night. I will tonight).
Thanks
John

Yes,

Ohm that oven sensor first, it should read 1100 ohms at room temperature, if thats ok, then its likely you will need a new control board.

Yes, please post the model# of your range.:)

Thanks. I'll try and post the model number in the morning. Probably won't have a chance to measure the probe until the weekend.

Model number is CRE9600ACL. Sensor probe initially measured 1075 ohms but with a slight warming by hand it remeasured at around 1100 ohms. Maytag's site shows a complete clock assembly 7601P224-60 as the replacement part. May look into getting this circuit repaired. You wouldn't know a source for the clock schematic?
Thanks

Its better to just replace the complete control board, having it fixed is not a good idea, more grief than its worth.

Here is the control board, if you order it from this link, it has a 30 day full refund if it doesn't fix the problem:
