Hi everyone,

Thanks to everyone who posts to this forum. It has been so helpful for me to diagnose the problem with my SHU43.

After recently having my drain back water up into my dishwasher and flow onto the floor, the SHU43 is now unable to fill water. I'm guessing some flood protection is doing this. The self-test shows a '4' which I understand is a filling fault.

Question: how and where to I access the base or pan or whatever container where the water needs to be cleared out to reset the sensor? The bottom kickplate? The sides of the dishwasher? Thanks in advance.

Hi everyone,

So off came the kickplate (black panel in the front right under the front door) and I assume that the white thing was the base. It look pretty much sealed up, except for 3 little holes just to the left of some adjustment screw. I stuck a paper towel in one of the holes and sure enough there was water in there.

So how can I get this water out if there's no easy way to get in? And I didn't have a ShopVac. I decided to take a very laborious approach and shove a J-Cloth in the little holes to soak up as much as I could. Did it for a while, did the self test again and repeated this a couple of times.

But eventually, I drained enough water out and presto, problem solved! Hope this will be of some value to others who run into the same problem. No special tools needed, just a torx screwdriver and an absorbant cloth.

Thanks TC for the good information on how you fixed yours.:)

Unfortunately, I don't work on Bosch appliances, or I would have helped you out.
