This error comes up when I try anything with my oven .The following fault description follows
Wiring harness cavity size does not match previously stored value The "Cavity Size Select" jumpers in the wiring harness indicate a cavity size different from that which the control was previously configured for. Check the jumpers in the harness to make sure they agree with the actual oven size.Is it possible for me to check this. I am technical and not worried about trying . I've killed the power and disconnected the ribbon cable to the touch pad and the fault still comes up. Is a new board in my future and if so how much? Model GGP 84802 Whirlpool

Wow, thats something I have never seen described for that error code before.

I actually looked up your electronic control board, and I guess they don't even make it anymore, Its part#3191087. I can't get it to pull up with any supplier to price it out for you.

I have been doing some homework and this part is available and a rebuild is around $150 Cdn. My next question is will my stove still work with this control for the oven removed to be rebuilt?

Thats a good question, but I don't have the answer, I would hate to speculate as well.

Hopefully another tech. or member that has done this before can assist you here.

Time is of the essence so I will likely disconnect it ,make sure there are no exposed wires and try it . wish me luck

For the record, the cct board was removed and the stove elements still work .If the repair goes as hoped I will have saved myself around $150 . I'll let you know when the part comes back

The board was repaired and I reinstalled it for a total cost of $180 after tax. Saved on service call and total savings around $180
