I have an older Whirlpool oven. The ID tag is illegable and I have not been able to determine the model number in order to replace the light switch.

The tag does have the following stamped into it. It may be part of the model number but I could not Google it to any viable model. The number is "rre15y3"

I have attached some pictures. If anyone can assist in determining the model number it would be a great help.

Hi,

Can't help with the model #.....but is that hole in the consol for the ?push? type light switch? If yes, a general replacement style would probably work for you. The oven light switch should be a 2 wire switch. Check with local parts depot and ask to see ( or a pic in a book manual ) 15106, 15100, 15101 ( these are some common ones). These are some general replacement push on push off style switches.

Thanks for the feedback. The hole was originally for a rotating knob switch but the push type will probably fit. I ordered one to try.
