I have a GE washer WBVH6240 that suddenly will do nothing. The door is locked and will not unlock. It will not begin the wash cycle. Power supply is connected and washer will power on/off. The 'start/pause' light is flashing. Any ideas???

Hi,

Try to unplug it for about 5 minutes to see if everything will reset.

I was checking your owners manual:
http://products.geappliances.com/ProdContent/Dispatcher?REQUEST=SKUOBJECTS&DOCUMENT=Use%20and%20Care%20Manual&SKU=WBVH6240FGG
for something and I found this:

Door is locked • If door is locked with START/PAUSE blinking, press
START/PAUSE two times to unlock the door.

Tried that too. A GE service rep came by and found the problem. There is a collection/trap located on the beneath the drum and accessible through the front panel. This trap had debris (coins, lint, etc) inside which apparently confused the machine. The service tech cleaned the trap and reset the washer. Working like new now. Thanks for your help.

Well, it worked for a couple of loads. Now we're experiencing the same problem. Power supply good, door locked, will not begin cycle... I cleaned the trap/drain as the tech to no avail. Any suggestions?

Call back GE (http://www.geappliances.com/service_and_support/) to let them know they need to come back to check it out again.

I don't know what else could be causing that issue.
