My GE washing machine does not dump the water

My GE washing machine suddenly does not dump the water out during the spin cycle. The tub starts to spin at regular speed (it seems like) for a few seconds then stops. It starts again and stops and continues to do this until the cycle is over, yet the water still remains in the unit. The model number is GJXRP080B0WW

What could the problem be?

I saw the other Fridgedair thread about the blocked pump so I decided to take my washer apart and I found a large bloackage in the pump. Looks like lint, lots of it.

Problem fixed.
