Whirlpool GU1200/1500 flashing lights, no operation

Help! My Whirlpool dishwasher is about 3 years old, and worked fine until this week.

The Rinse Only and Air Dry lights are both flashing at the same timeand won't stop.

The onloy button that seems to do anything is Cancel/Drain. When I press that, a horizontal bar appears in the timer window.

Opening and closing the door or turning on/off the power makesthe Rinse Only light stop flashing, but the Air Dry keeps right on. If I touch any other button, the Rinse Only starts flashing again too.

Could be a short in the touchpad assembly, Check your owners guide, some of these models have a extented parts only warranty for 2-5 years.
