6 year old unit, controller replaced twice on service calls, problem started happening again where this time it was stuck on "2H"

Pulled controller to find burnt solder joint, fixed it but same problem, then I accidentally jumped (ooops) something and controller burnt 2 traces with a big pop. My fault so I ordered a new controller.

Now it sticks at 1minute without shutting down on its own.

Did self test to get a code "1" Aqua sensor?

Ok so now it's still not working with a brand new controller. I guess I need to dig deeper and run some tests. I'm somewhat handy and have a ohmmeter but do not have a current measuring device. Most of the directions I have seen online so far seem a little vague.

What next?
Thanks
Henry

Thank but that's the one I find vague. Maybe I'm just being ignorant or don't get something that should be easier to isolate the fault.

From just those cryptic instructions it would appear that it's my "aqua sensor"
Is that the same as the "water level control assembly?"
How do I get to it? Where is it? How do it test my old one before dumping any more money into it?
