Bosch Detergent Dispenser Problem

Hi,

I have a Bosch SHY66C05 and the detergent dispenser no longer opens. Before I just buy another one is there any troubleshooting that I should do?

I have a Bosch SHU8802UC that is about 4 years old and have the same problem. The dispenser use to open ~15 minutes after starting to drop the Electrosol tablet into the stainless steel tub. I disassembled the door housing and saw that an electric actuator motor causes the dispenser door to open. I replaced it with a brandnew motor (about $20) and still no luck. At this point I think the control module is bad because the actuator motor never engages to open the door. Another possibility is there's some sensor that determines when the door should open that could've gone bad. Anyone know?
