Old Versus New Pumps

I am looking to replace a water pump in my GE washer and have found that the part I have WH23X81 has been replaced with a newer version WH23X10013 (http://click.linksynergy.com/fs-bin/click?id=YO6223WzStY&offerid=122738.542576365&type=10&subid=). My question is; the older pump with the fan has a 3 wires and the new version has only 2 wires, what happens to the 3rd wire connection?

If the 3rd wire is a green one, its just a ground wire, don't worry about it.:) The new pump has an internal ground.:)
