Bosch D/W with F code

We have a Bosch dishwasher that is displaying the "f" code. It is an shu6802. We've never had any trouble with it before. Last night it ran continually displaying the "f" in the countdown cycle. Does anyone have any ideas as to how we could possibly repair this ourselves at home? I greatly appreciate any suggestions or help. Thank you kindly.
