Hello,

I have a GE profile washer model wmsr3110w0ww and it will not agitate or spin any longer. Anyone have any ideas? I know a service call will be expensive and I am trying to decide if I should just throw in the towel and buy a new one or try and repair it ?

Thanks,

karen

Maybe the belt broke or fell off? Maybe the motor is defective? Maybe the timer is defective and not sending power to the motor???

Can you at least hear if it sounds like the motor is running at those times (even if it isn't doing anything)?

Dan,

I can hear sounds so it does sound as if the motor is still working. I will lay the machine on its back tonight and see if I can see a broken belt.. if it is a motor, it almost seems less expensive to get a new machine in the long run.

That is not usually the way to go about servicing that design of washer. See the following link for may common procedures for it.
