My whirlpool dishwasher timer motor is not getting power at the pots and pans setting and therefore not advancing. The motor onlyreceives power at the regular wash set point when advancing the knob. I have completely disassembled the timer switch and cleaned the contacts and I can not see any problems with the switch itself. Any ideas?

Hi,
Did you check the wire diagram that comes with the unit? Might be a thermostat or cycle extendor ( esp for P&P's cycle ) in the timer motors circuit preventing it from receiving power.

The circuit diagram is not legible, but I can trace the circuit and look for the items you have indicated. I will let you know how I make out. Thanks for the leads (I know, lousy pun).
