I have an old caloric oven on which the thermostat knob broke. I'm not sure exactly how old the unit is, but the house was built in 1976... I can't seem to find a replacement.

This knob is almost exactly like the original, but reversed (turns the wrong way)

If I have to get one that is not exactly the same, is there a way to calibrate the knob so the temps match? Can anyone point me to another parts place that may have this ancient knob? I've searched through hundreds of knob picutres, but the two above are the closest I've found.
